World Book Day
World Book Day takes place on Thursday 4th March
Next Thursday 4th March is World Book Day and we have lots of exciting things planned for all pupils at home or in school.
As per tradition we will be dressing up as our favourite book character and would love you to do the same even if you are at home! There will also be assemblies, live story telling sessions and some very special competitions.
Competition 1- Dress up as your favourite book character - send your teacher a picture on Purple Mash or Microsoft Teams. Those pupils in EYFS you will be provided with an email link to send in your costumes on Wednesday 3rd March. The best costumes in each class will win a prize.
Competition 2- Read or retell a short story - Go to www.flipgrid.com/qpaworldbookday2021 and record yourself reading a story or retelling your favourite. There is only one rule it must be no longer than three minutes. You need to press record a response and get reading. Be as creative as you can! Use the topic section at the top of the page to find the correct competition.
Competition 3- The Masked Readers - Can you guess who our masked readers are? Let your teacher know on your Purple Mash Blog or Microsoft Teams.
Book Tokens- You will be emailed a digital copy of your child's £1 book token on Thursday 4th March to use online. We will also be providing pupils with paper copy of the token when they return to school.
We look forward to seeing your entries!
